Leadership and Development Trainings

Take your Nonprofit’s Leadership to the Next Level

Due East’s trainings provide the know-how and tools to optimize board and staff performance.

Leadership development, coaching and fundraising training that fit your goals.

Due East’s skills-based training provides volunteer and staff leaders with core strategies and tools for board governance,  constituent engagement and fundraising/development. From in-person training sessions to online webinars, we can provide a training tailored to your organization’s needs, diverse constituency and team members’ skills.

Growth & Sustainability

Due East offers step-by-step instruction to grow your organization and sustain your mission. Our 5 Drivers of Growth & Sustainability offer an easy-to-follow framework to guide your growth. As part of this training series, nonprofits will assess their best opportunities for growth, create a Development Plan with actionable strategies and targets, and learn from the pros the skills, tips and techniques most essential for long-term growth and fundraising success.

Build a High-Performance Board

Due East’s trainings help new and veteran board members master their right roles and enhance their effectiveness in governance, advocacy and fundraising. We give your board members the confidence and skills they need to engage new and existing donors. Our Board Excellence training can help to transition your “working board” to a governing board that effectively provides strategic direction, fiscal oversight, advocacy and resource development.

Coaching and Mentoring

Our team has effectively led and grown organizations. We know what works. If you’re a new executive or just need some coaching to help get your organization to the next level, our veteran coaches can help. We provide coaching and mentoring in executive leadership, fundraising, board management, and operational excellence.

Fundraising and Development Training for Leaders

Some board members feel uncomfortable asking others for money.  We offer half and full-day trainings, in-person and/or virtual, to shift your board’s perspective from asking to offering meaningful engagement opportunities for an organization or cause close to their heart. We help them communicate their own passion and invite others, including existing and potential donors, to join them investing in the vision, mission and work of your organization. This training will fire up your board to more effectively cultivate, solicit and steward donors for your annual fund or capital campaign.

Gearing Up Your Board for Growth

As your organization grows and diversifies, the role of the board shifts. Responsibilities once owned by volunteer board members become the domain of professional staff. Due East’s half-day and daylong trainings, in-person and/or virtural, bring clarity to the board’s changing roles and help them focus on higher-level strategic thinking. We provide critical insights on best practices in governance and the skills training board members need to provide proper oversight while guiding and supporting growth.
